To be clear in regard of RV14 question, because he is asking from Poland, existing Schengen state.

Do I understand correctly that since Croatia joined the Schengen system on January the 1st one could fly directly to LDSH without clearing immigration?

FYI Croatia & Schengen & euro article:

Regarding internal air borders, they will be lifted on March 26 next year, in order to align the date with the summer/winter time schedule of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

I already have a week booked for Hvar this summer and would love to fly into LDSH, but initial planning is to fly to Brac and get taxis and boat for the rest of the journey.

In the Cirrus I generally try to avoid grass and gravel runways, though I did two last year. Lido (LIPV) was OK on smoothness and length but I also did Fayance (LFMF) which I will probably not go back to – really bumpy but benefit from two strips of tarmac of around 200m, which was almost enough to get us airborne.

I wonder if you might convince the local authorities to allow for a similar “get up to speed” strip of tarmac?

Afraid, that is not possible because the whole field is under protection.
The best we can do (and to be allowed to do) is on the following picture =>

The investment level for the whole airport and apron goes to half million euro level, which is prohibitive on the economic side.
We hope to cover 28 in size of 32 × 32 m for all year H operations for medical purposes soon.
Similar can be done on 10 after that.

First UL visitor from Bavaria.
He spent 2 days on island and left this morning.
He was surprised that AIP declares PPR for landing on LDSH.
Please be informed ;)

Is there anyone at Hvar on the ground?

Did he fly straight in/out? are ULM allowed in likes of Brac? do they require permission for Croatia?

Nice! Gotta love people doing these off-season trips in small VFR aircraft!

No permit needed for flying foreign ultralights in HR.

Quite sure he landed somewhere else first. Immigration and possibly fuel, too.
