Getting to Hvar LDSH (Croatia)

@9A_LDSH

Thanks for comitting to some upkeep of the airfield.

Question: are there any landing or parking fees for short term visitors this year? If yes, how much? And how, where and when are they paid?

Also, are you able to post a telephone number of a decent taxi driver on Hvar, i.e. someone who doesn’t rip-off the customers from abroad?

Mainz (EDFZ) & Egelsbach (EDFE), Germany

Hi @boscomantico

That commitment is only temporary till August 2023.

At the moment *prices stand like:
-15 euro landing and overnight
-10 euro each night plus / no limit on operations
-Longer stays with some bigger discount
-Touch and go no charge
All can be paid in cash on site. Croatia is since 01.01.2023. on euro currency.
*Price level decided by Aeroclub Faros (not us)

Decent TAXI driver is non existing term on the whole island.
Sorry, that is fact similar to stone growing on the LDSH :D

Do you know why G109 TMG left? hopefully not related to EASA/CAA divorce?

Exactly that.
Since Brexit the person visiting from UK must leave EU after 3 months, the visiting aircraft must leave after 6 months.

Since Brexit the person visiting from UK must leave EU after 3 months, the visiting aircraft must leave after 6 months.

Do you have a reference for that?

The first is actually 6 months. The second is indefinite – like N-reg in most countries.

@all
Thank you for all suggestions and questions.

Maybe you All can write your experience with LDSH in the past, with suggestions and expectations for the future to the
Owner of the LDSH, City of Stari Grad and its mayor
The official contact point is gradonacelnik( at)stari-grad.hr

Mayor has all the power to bring this little gem to a decent level of safety and functionality.

Please ask the owner of that G109B, he must have the ref. on that.
Fortunately our plane is still EASA land registered :)

He’s been misinformed, but that’s normal. There is a lot of brexit-related BS going around.

Do I understand correctly that since Croatia joined the Schengen system on January the 1st one could fly directly to LDSH without clearing immigration?

Poland

Yes, that is right. The official date by air is 26.03.2023.

No clue. He invested a lot in new trailer to make that move back by road….

Except for special visa arrangements, a UK passport holder can only be in the EU for 90 days in a given 180 day period.

United Kingdom

The first is actually 6 months. The second is indefinite – like N-reg in most countries.

Not really it’s:

  • 3months stay for pilot in 6months period
  • 6months stay for aircraft before VAT/Duty is due

I know that TMG likely other stuff from maintenance from restricted CoFA under BGA/CAMO regimes which are sub-ICAO, this is unlike ICAO N-reg…
