@Snoopy it has performed reasonably well. The club that operates it has built up a good following of PPL renters, supplemented by trial lessons – it isn’t used for ab initio. I would say maintenance and insurance is probably running a bit higher than I had hoped, so before tax on accounting value is around 10%.
In the UK the Warrior has appreciated, and in theory the aircraft is worth around 50% plus above historical cost, more above accounting book value. Adjusting for the up lift in value the annual pre tax return is closer to 5%. So the business model probably doesn’t work at today’s values.
I remain a fan of the Warrior, passenger friendly and arguably more robust than a 172 or DA40.
