(Also, although I’m pretty sure its not what you were asking for, is that CHT gauge any good? That seems like a very optimistic reading to me!)

My experience of older GA saw amp meters as almost always useless. This was Australian rentals however. Hence didn’t seem unusual to me…
No. The ampmeter was right at zero (which is where it should be in the middle of the flight).
(It’s due to the angle of the photo that it looks like the needle is slightly in the negative.)

If fuel selector is on both then fuel gauges should both read less than full. But, in a Cessna fuel gauges can show anywhere between empty and full regardless of actual fuel content… So, I guess that’s not the problem. I must be blind, can’t really see any obvious problems here.
