well known place, no need to identify…
No time for a long trip … so I went to the airfield and practiced landings, go-arounds and deadstick landings.
Lac de Sainte-Croix.
Final for 22R at Nice airport.
Alassio.
Turning final 28R at Torino-Aeritalia.
Here are a few pictures from our first Greenland visit in 2014. Maybe @dublinpilot likes them.
This is Narsarsuaq in April:
And this is Kangerlusuaq in Oktober:
Here we were stuck for a week because of a duff KI256:
An afternoon trip to Würzburg EDFW and back to Essen-Mülheim EDLE in quite convective weather.
This time we flew to Frankfurt Int. and here you can see in the background a Jumbo Jet departing RWY 18
Okay, it’s actually the 747 which Lufthansa donated to the Technical Museum in Speyer On this photo one can see, how close the airport and the museum is located to the cathedral/city. There’s even a kink in the final approach to RWY 16 for seperation from the city.
On the flight back to EDLE – River Rhine
Rhine-valley just north of Rüdesheim/Bingen
Finkenwerder, with dozens of brand new Airbus.
Lübeck from above.
Nice day flying yesterday, northwest of the Elbe was pretty hazy but south of it was clear.
End afternoon flight over Normandy (tried to get the golden hour for the photos) :
The Eiffel tower (left) and the Paris business district
The Lisieux Basilica
A marine layer over the Normandy beaches
On downwind at LFRG, I decided not to land to avoid being stuck. In fact, the field (on the hill) remained CAVOK the whole evening.
The same but the picture was so good !!
My basic setup for trips (this one was short )
Back to LFPT
These little trips can be such great value. One has to grab them while one can. It has been p1ssing down here, ~OVC003, for 2 days.
Great time of the year for this sort of thing…
