That’s Le Mans
Yes easy to spot, yesterday the visibility was so great that I could see the smoke from Le Havre Port industrial area from 100km (I don’t have the picture but I looks like “quai at le havre” painting)
Manhattan from the Hudson River Corridor, 1500 ft
Fog bank halfway down the runway at 6L4, Logan County, West Virginia…
…and stunning sunset 5 minutes later
Sassolungo peak in Italian dolomites, Val Gardena. I took this shot from roughly FL110 on a very clear and windy day (wind was 50kts from N on that day).
Visited Berrier in the Lake District-about 400 yards LDA, and 500 of TORA – just over two hours at Super Cub cruise. It is the base for Lake District Gyrocopters and the owner very kindly allowed me to visit. easyVFR had it on the database as it takes a bit of circling to spot the grass landing area behind a stone wall. Perched on a 1,000 foot hill it has incredible views to the South.
Lake Windermere
North of Ambleside
Turning towards Berrier to the NE
Checking the airfield from the N
The owner of the airfield
Super Cub with the spring lambs
Barrier redux
Probably rivals Compton Abbas for views
Heading south via Ullswater
How beautiful
Banc d’Arguin and the famous ‘dune du Pilat’
Wow nice, get another picture of the Eye of the Sahara (Richat Structure) just 250 nm east
About 2 seconds after takeoff from Cherbourg
