Any info on this?
Sad story. Sounds like a UK group trip to the Alps that went wrong.

A second plane which is thought to have been flying in formation was forced into an emergency landing in an unrelated incident.
A second plane which is thought to have been flying in formation was forced into an emergency landing in an unrelated incident.
It’s not what Aviation Safety Network says.
Yes; it would seem very strange to have two accidents in the same place and at the same time.
According to French news outlets there really were TWO separate incidents / accidents involving the same group of airplanes. Very, very weird. I guess Fate is, indeed, the hunter….. Here (in French).
So two planes crashed a few minutes apart among a group of five from the UK.
One crashed with the two occupants killed.
One made an emergency landing and the pilot is safe.
Authorities say there is no link yet between the crashes, but I understand why some took it for a mid-air collision.
Pfew, not a good day of flying
Very sad news. It will be interesting to see if there is a causal link (fuel contamination from the same source, marginal performance on a very hot day along a route decided together, or something else. )
This pass (ar the French-Italian border) is at 6500’, and it is a hot day today (35-40C at sea level).
Edit : crash site is at about 9000’.
Crashed plane is a Eurostar.
Other interesting fact : authorities declare the crash was reported by the ELT, and a local witness. So apparently the other planes of the group were not aware of the crashes, or could not reach anyone.
