It’s a very scenic coastline. I am sure you will find people to go along.
Whenever Justine and I flew down there, we counted the fish-shaped islands
I almost did a formation flight once, for mutual photo purposes, out of LJPZ, with another pilot (of a homebuilt). I didn’t manage to get visual with him post-takeoff (he was reporting his position where I was, which was slightly concerning!) and eventually I said I am giving it up and flying (as I was) to LGKR. He seemingly followed me, busted the Pula CAS, got told off for it, and later suggested that we re-do the experiment with transponders turned off
So I think you would want to coordinate such a flight with ATC beforehand, and work out some solid routine for meeting up, because LJPZ is not likely to allow the departures to be closely spaced.
Somebody has posted Hvar as alt aerodrome.
Better check it out B4 landing there. It looked desrted plus knee long grass.
Pictures were taken end of May this year.
Yes; Hvar is long “gone”. A year or two. Same with Unije; not much going on there.
Peter, that is just not true. One airfield is closed, the other is not.
The grass might be long, the airfield is not closed. It’s a bush strip, but i have landed there several times.
LDSB this morning
Alternate for Brac is Split LDSP.
Btw for Unije you can get permission for landing from Croatian CAA – I’ve seen the one issued to pilot from Slovenia.
