All the handlers quote this. Me + passenger, in and out = 80 × 4 = 320 euro security fee. It is this fee in particular that make the costs so high.

To be clear, that fee is per person, both crew and passengers, both going in and out of the airport.

Of course, there is no security needed to leave the airport and for departure going to the ramp through security takes all of 2 minutes.

I will hopefully be trying this end of September with Iberia. I doubt I’ll have a security fee, they can foxtrot Oscar – as I believe Iberia do via the Terminal.

Think I was parked next to you in Montpellier the other day Robbie – it was ZANY but nobody was in it.

Was that on the Friday? Wasn’t there long, so you must have been quick.

No Monday afternoon. It was definitely G-ZANY.

Ah I wasn’t there long. What was your registration?

Was we being refuelled?

one can go through (Iberia? Ibiza?) to avoid the extravagant charge

I strongly discourage IFR into IBZ for multiple reasons: few advantages and multiple opportunities for hassle and damage: we would like to keep Ibiza as an accessible GA destination.

@Antonio

Do you still recommend Iberia? Last year they said it was fine for the “Servicio de Acompañamiento”
