The term you guys are looking for is AIRPORT OF ENTRY. That implies an Airport which has both immigration and customs and, in Europe, it USUALLY means that it also is Schengen and Non Schengen capable.
The other airports which have limited customs or Immigration will not be classified as Airport of Entry but “Other Airports with Customs Clearance” which actually is also an incorrect term because some of them may well have immigration as well.
So if an airport is labled as AOE then chances are big that it provides full border crossing capabilities including EU/NON EU and Schengen/Non Schengen. I still would read what it sais in the Airport Directory because it can still mean they have PPR and PNR or whatever. Any other airports with customs clearance are non standard and need in each case be individually checked as to what their capabilities / PNR requirements e.t.c. are.
Beside all the discussions about customs. We made it. Stuttgart – Calais – Lydd – Cork – Inishmore – Shannon – Weston. Nice trip up to now.

Beside all the customs/immigration discussion here: finally it was very easy to go to Ireland. We used the Eurotunnel for the dog, Lydd as meet up airports afterwards and continued straight ahead to Cork. This is our first stopp. After this we will follow some of Colms recommended fields.

Obviously Switzerland and Norway are different.
The UK has Customs and Immigration available at every farm strip, via the very good GAR form concession.
Wangen-Lachen LSPV used to have exit Customs. Is that now finished in Switzerland, generally?

A lot of the Swiss airfields like LSZK Speck-Fehraltorf near Zurich. I can fly there from/to Germany but not UK.
