Try that in France! There are many airway segments that cannot be navigated using radio navigation equipment but require either RNAV, radar vectors or DR. It may be because navaids have been decommissioned
H20 between KOVAK and DOMOD or A3 between DOMOD and MOTAL for example.
Clearly the convention that AA refers to is not relevant…considering that BRNAV is mandatory for IFR anyway
