My mechanic told me as soon as you don’t see thread, it is airworthy. But very uncomfortable when you land, and if running short of wet runway, you can easily break a wheel…
What amazed me is just how rough even taxiing is, given the small flat spot. It feels like the wheel has become rectangular!
