PP3 9 Volt Rechargeable Batteries for David Clark Noise Reduction Headset

I’ve been using a H10-13xl headset for the last few years and despite everyones else comments I am very pleased with it.

I have always used PP3 9 Volt rechargeable batteries (250mah) with the headset but I suspect the two batteries I have are now passed their best as I am only getting about 4 hours use out of them before they need charging. It was closer to eight when I first got them.

Anyway I was looking on ebay and it would appear you can now get 600mah rechargeable batteries but they are lithium-ion. Firstly are these genuine or a gimmick and if they would be better would I need to get a special battery charger or could I simply use the one I have now?

You should definitely use a specialised charger for lithiums, because they use (or should use) a different charge termination method.

That guy does sell one here and that comes with four of these batteries.

I have to say, however, that I have bought many batteries on Ebay and all of them were fakes, with nowhere near the capacity claimed. The biggest joke was a battery for a Makita drill, which he is also selling… it has about 1/4 of the capacity of the proper battery. But it is 1/3 of the price…

Don’t ever charge Lithium Ion batterirs without a specialist charger which sets a time limit; the results can be quite spectacular if you use a standard charger

Recived the batteries about 2 weeks ago now and I can confirm they are much better than the old nicad ones. The ANR is a lot cleaner and time between charges is much improved I am getting about 12 hours between charges so I am very pleased
