It turns out there was another thread on this topic – merged.
Given the rather violent reaction to Valentine’s day this one seems to have gone more peacefully
Is it an international day to recognise pilots or a day to recognise international pilots?
It means that on that day, all UK pilots can fly to the EU without having to clear customs. Ehhh, except for La Rochelle of course
Just come across this.
Does it mean I should get some flowers?

Yes, of course! HHR would be a bit too far I guess, LOL !
LHR or EGLL you mean :)
Fist bumps all round, then a low-level formation flight over the southern UK, followed by same across France with several landings, a sumptous lunch (no wine…); then back to the UK with touch-and-go landings at LHHR.
Over here, one of our club guys flew a C172 into LAX – VFR. I had done the same – IFR – a few days ago. Fun !

Actually, seems like tapping elbows is the new greeting around here… The more rebellious ones go for a fist bump…
Lets all go for a flight…

What should we do on this special day?
Tap each other shoulders and say how great pilots we are
