Does anyone know of a way to get the German GAFOR/GAMET without using the paywall at www.flugwetter.de?

Not quite true, Achim. Some limited parts of the DWD spectrum are available free of charge. Among this, the GAFOR codes. It’s just the codes though, so not the graphic (which is what it makes it at least a little bit useful).

Oh, and by the way, the Orbifly Metmap is almost the same as the GAFOR map.

just found out a link to German GAFOR available online, not behind pay wall. not a chart but table but still useful
It‘s included in ForeFlight as well with to possibility to put it on the map as a layer.
They are included in EasyVFR also.

When this thread came up initially, none of these 3rd party graphical representations were existing.
