IFR Routing EGPC - EDAZ

This route seems to be a case where the automatic routing engines have big troubles. I was not able to obtain any reasonable route using the usual tools and even using manual corrections I was not able to produce a good route. In the end I used the following which worked out very well in the air but I admit it is not elegant to have a VFR segment at FL230 in between:

WIK125030 DCT WIK125080 DCT WIK125130 DCT WIK125180 DCT WIK125230 DCT WIK125280 DCT WIK125330 VFR DCT DHE/N0200F230 IFR L619 PITEN Z998 RATMO VFR

Am I missing something? Any level up to FL250 would have been acceptable.

I get this using the autorouter engine with the DCT penalisation in the UK disabled (F200, I don’t have an aircraft model handy that does more):
