Austria has a chart for this in the aip ENR 6.8
Best thing since sliced bread. Very impressed with and kudos for Hungaro Control for being so far sighted and eliminating nonsense when not needed.

Very funny Manual IFR route planning is not feasible nowadays. If you want terrain information, you can use a VFR map of Hungary.

Just let software do it for you. autorouter considers terrain clearance. Hungary is a very simple case because it’s flat.

3327ft – yep that’s flat. Almost as flat as Wales.

How do you plan your min. enroute alt in a Free Routing Airspace? I have looked into the Hungarian AIP but haven’t found a clear answer..

You choose the route yourself with DCTs. That’s the whole point of free routing.

90% direct to destination or FIR exit point, 10% vectors. These days, the ATC computers look ahead a huge amount of time, so apart from busy terminal areas conflicts can be resolved by the time the aircraft even enters the airspace.
Silly question here.

heading/vectors ?
