Looking to fly tomorrow (weather permitting) from Berlin EDAZ to Sabadell LELL. It’s a 4 hour plus leg so a rest stop in the middle would be great, around northwest Switzerland or eastern France. Any suggestions for a stop with cheap fuel, low fees, and even an instrument approach?
Would recommend Dole LFGJ. You have TWR, fuel even an ILS and rental cars on site. Open all day on weekdays. Never been but only heard good things about this place.
Colmar, LFGA. Various threads here containing info..
Agree on colmar.
Annecy LFLP is on your route, close to the Mont Blanc Massive. It’s a really nice located airfield with IFR procedures.
Avgas price reported at 1,90EUR / L
There is a restaurant at the airport.
I would do Annecy only if the weather is fair.
There is also Lyon Bron LFLY. Avgas 1,82EUR/L
which is the GA airport for Lyon.
Great ideas, thank you all. For Annecy, why only if fair weather?

Because there is a lot of terrain around. Approach minimums are based on your climb performance.
This is the view to the right when on final RWY04:

Aha. Will look closely at the plates

Friedrichshafen EDNY? Maybe more north-east than north-west. The fuel is not cheap – it is Germany afterall… 2,80 €/l or thereabout according to RocketRoute.
I ended up stopping at Annecy due to its location. Super easy stop, quick turn around, very inexpensive. Highly recommended. 10 EUR landing fee and indeed fuel was about 1,90. Thanks!
