Has anyone been to Zweibrucken recently. Planning a trip in a PA28, but the website for the airport was playing up earlier and giving me a few broken links. Can’t work out the GA VFR procedure. It will be first visit.

most german airports don’t really have a unique “VFR procedure”. After getting the ATIS, just call up the tower well before reaching the CTR and he will tell you what to do. Either he will ask you to fly via one of the more convenient VRPs or he might suggest (and you may ask for) a different, possibily more direct routing (for example a straight-in approach).
Just mind the max. VFR arrival and departure altitudes as depicted on the VAC.
EDRZ has almost zero traffic, except instrument training.
Light GA is normally parked at apron 2. The ops building is right next to it.

The last time I visited Zweibrucken was in 1956. I am an army brat. I lived in Pirmasens for 3 years, 1953 to 1956. 
Lol – these days, the outlet village attracts Mrs. IJ… hopefully I can pay for the flight and she buys herself the clothes, or tomorrow will get expensive :)
