Hello dear aviators,
The Rote-Wurst Fly-In at Nortel is now entering its fifth round. Time and time again, you have surprised and challenged us with an increasing number of approaches from all over Germany. We are delighted that our event is so well-received by all of you!
For the Summer Edition of 2023, we have made it our mission to help those who currently do not have the opportunity to take it to the skies. Surely, all of you must have heard about what happened to our fellow aviators in Hockenheim on June 19, 2023. Suddenly, the entire fleet of aircraft went up in smoke in a fire, including at least 13 planes and the hangar being destroyed.
It was immediately clear to us that we would not leave our fellow aviators hanging, and thus, for this summer’s Rote-Wurst Fly-In, we have decided to donate 50% of our profits to the aviators in Hockenheim!
In other words: the more of you make your way to Nortel and enjoy yourselves with food and drinks, the more we can contribute to the SFC Hockenheim. Therefore, we ask you: Spread the word about our event and fly to Nortel! We will show our gratitude with delicious Rote Wurst (red sausages) and steaks from the grill, along with a tasty salad buffet.
The furthest arrival will be rewarded with a surprise prize this time as well.
What can you expect at the Rote-Wurst Fly-In?

- An exciting approach to our airfield (not difficult but spectacular!)
- No (!!!) landing fees

Besides ultralights, the “big brothers” are also welcome at our airfield. Moreover, our airfield also serves as a stopover for flights in the surrounding area. It takes about one hour of flight time to reach the Alps or France. Super Plus and AvGas are available at the airfield, but you still need to pump it yourself :-) Payment options include cash or debit card. In case the weather doesn’t cooperate, the Fly-In will be postponed by one week to July 30, 2023.

Just three more nights and then the time has come: The Red Sausage in the summer edition awaits you! I just spoke with the flight weather advisory colleagues who have promised us good weather for the entire Sunday.
This time, we have not only Red Sausages but also pork neck steaks and even iced coffee with us – come by in large numbers and help us support our colleagues from Hockenheim.
Nortel Radio will be manned from around 10 a.m., and the grill will be fired up half an hour later :-) Pre-registrations are welcome at www.red-fly-in.com.
