I plan to move to Düsseldorf to bring my SR22 with me.
I found Mönchengladbach as a good option with full IFR setup.
Could you guys share with me some opinions about MGL and close airports?
Where is a good option for cheaper fuel?
Any recos to visit airports around?

First of all, brace yourself for EDLN TWR. They are known as one of the most unpleasant bunch of TWR controllers in Germany. One of them in particular, but the others are not much better. Some of it has to do with the fact that there is a commercial flying school at the field and thus they want them to be 100% correct.
Expect no pleasant GA vibe there. They take it serious at EDLN.
As for places nearby, well, I assume you don’t have an SR22 to make 50 mile coffee runs, do you? And even flying for cheaper fuel does not really make sense as we know. Still, many people from that area like to fly to Borkenberge EDLB for cheaper fuel.
Rather, with good opening hours, IFR, customs, etc., EDLN is a good base to make nice longish day trips or weekend trips. The German northwest and Dutch isles are just over 1hr, London is 2 hrs, Paris 1.5 hrs, the Swiss Alps are 2 hrs.
