Hello all,
A quick question.
I need to renew my MEP (IR), it as expired 7 month ago. So acording to EASA I have to do a minimum of 2 refresher training sessions.
But the question is, can they be done on a FNPTII?
Regards,
Erwin
The 2 refresher sessions are guidance, and at the discretion of the ATO after an assessment.
A sensible ATO would put you in a FNPT and see what needs doing on the IFR part (assessment + session 1), and then as required to get you instrument flying up to standard.
Assuming you instrument flying is up to scratch, the 2nd session would probably be the general handing part in the actual aircraft and a few circuits, finishing with an engine failure in the climb and an asymmetric circuit to land. Again followed by de-rusting as required.
None of the above is mandatory, just sensible. I guess you will know for yourself after each session whether you are happy or not.
