Just some info. for those who might need to send DC headsets for repair.
I had the problem mentioned above and shipped the two pairs for repair under warranty on December 10th.
The path involved sending them via courier to Bulgaria (the original vendor), then they sent them to DC UK who in turn sent them to DC USA repair center.
The reverse process took place for the return path.
I received back the repaired two pairs of headsets at no cost on February 19th !
That is 11 weeks waiting.
Ok the vendor being in Bulgaria and Christmas break in between did not help but gee was that some waiting !
Lesson learned: make sure no weight stress is put on the cable (with the battery pack) hanging form the headsets when using them.
5 years in to using the headset the earseals have started disintegrating.
I’ll research my options for (earseals) replacement.

How many hours do you estimate they´ve been used?
In what type of operational environment (eg. flight instruction, turboprob AOC/NCC, jet ops, airline..)?
Any other issues with them, other than the ear cups needing replacement (which I would consider “normal” if the ops dictates high usage)?
