Mlty, I’ll contact you after holidays. Maybe we could meet on day in Cherbourg?
Why don’t we do a Cherbourg fly-in at some point?
Dear Olivier, why not. I was last weekend in Cherbourg with my Pa32. I will be there for the 3 first weeks of august but with my car and not my plane. Feel free to get in touch.
Another point : I burn 14,0 usgph at 147 TAS at FL100 (I have an EDM730 for precise leaning).
Hello EuroGA,
I’m still looking for a suitable 6 seater aircraft.
I was looking at C210, but I’ve just seen this Saratoga for sale in England :

Maybe some of you have input or advice about this exemplar.
It looks good, but avionic is old, and seems VFR.
As I’m preparing my CB/IR, it would need a serious retrofit to fly IFR. GTN 750 and GTR 225A to start out. But I only see one ASI and one attitude indicator.
Pretty sure that one you mention is sold. My friend rang, and he had 4 people ahead of him in the que to see it…..
What’s your budget? An older Malibu/Matrix?
From the advert :
Description
A cracking example of the most sought after of 6 seat singles. …
Hmmm, not sure that “cracking” is a sought after attribute of a light GA

90-120k€ for the plane, + 30k€ for repairs /improvements.
The PA 32 I mention is sold.
Olivier,
this one here has caught my attention a while ago.

it might push your budget (even though I think 120 k might be an offer they might look at) but it is pressurized and a quite capable 6 seater.
This will likely cost a lot more to maintain (not because of the pressurisation but because of the turbo).
Why does a turbo cost more to maintain?
I’ve got a turbo enstrom helicopter, so I’m wondering where the costs bite. Mine has 1000 hours and has already had a new top end… perhaps that’s where?
