Repetitive click sound over Comms

Hi everyone,

I recently noticed a repetitive click sound over my coms. This sound is audible even if the radios are off.

Does anyone have any idea of possible causes?

Here’s a link for the sound

Radios are off, but the avionics master is on, right? Is the beacon on? I’ve had something similar years ago emanating from the beacon.

My SkyEcho makes a faint clicking sound, audible in the headphones every couple of seconds. Could it be that?

Strobe or transponder? You might be able to narrow it down by turning various things on or off. It’s less common for intercom wiring to be shielded so if you’re flying solo you can turn it off.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I ruled out beacon (my plane doesn’t have one) and radios. Tomorrow, I’ll start to pull circuits out and see if the sound stops.

I don’t have skyecho but I do have an Avidyne TAS and ADS-B. I’ll test it tomorrow.

I have almost the same. Its the transponder in my case.

USB car charger?

I can’t get the sound track to play (it plays but with zero volume) and I could not find a Download option.

Usually these are the DME or the transponder.
