Hello. Can someone help me with getting installation manual for KT74?
Isn’t it an re-badged Trig TT31? See here for reference.
Trig publish a copy of the TT31 Installation Manual on their website; they also publish loads of other manuals – a good reason to support them instead of a has-been.
TT31 I have but I need original KT74. I need to check if rs-232 altitude can be received on basic (wide) connector.
That’s poor that this manual is “secret”….
KT_74_software_upgrade_v3_12_pdf
KT_74_IM_pdf
All IMs are “secret” in theory, to protect the installation and repair industry
Ha, thanks!
Is there any actual difference between the King and Trig units, in terms of capability?

Comparing the TT31 and KT74? They are the same unit – only with a different set of controls. (The TT31 has a rotary knob for code entry while the KY74 has 0-7 buttons.)
I thought so, Airborne, thanks for confirming. That’s why I was wondering why Przemek expected to find altitude on RS232 on the King if the Trig didn’t have it.

The Trig unit does have two RS232 inputs (and outputs). So does the King unit, but the King IM calls one of the inputs “GPS input” and one of the outputs “TIS output” and not RS232 in/output. It is likely that the firmware in the King unit is different from that in the Trig unit so King might have restricted the use of these particular inputs/outputs.
Since the front panel PCBs are different, one can’t quite assume the I/O on the back will be the same.
Anyway, manuals are above
RS232 is just an interface, and can be used for various protocols (data streams) e.g. TIS, GPS NMEA, etc.
