Joigny LFGK

Did they reproduce the bumpiness of the runway?

Mainz (EDFZ) & Egelsbach (EDFE), Germany

Joigny was closed by notam a few months back for aerial photography by drone: the result is a Microsoft Flight Simulator add-on here: https://flightsim.to/file/10649/joigny-airfield-lfgk

What a lovely trip! Looks fantastic destination and one to dream about for the future

It’s a C172 from LFPN, good value when it comes to the trees in front of upslope runway 08

There is not much to see on the other side of the river, only a nice view of city northern side & wine hills, but there is a small port and I come across these guys who offer boat trips (1 week tour) and boat rentals (sans permis), it sound like a nice plan for someone who has plenty of time to park aircraft and spend one week around the place?

Maybe what @UdoR was looking for in the other thread boat & sailing topic

Looks like you made a good day of it, especially so as a family. It does look cool and scenic down by the river (we didn’t cross the bridge when we visited).

Is that a C172? Seems to carry everything well.

I’ve only just looked now, but in case anyone else goes, the aero-club apparently will give lifts with prior notice, and their website (pdf) has a list of hotels, restaurants, taxis and hire cars, and the tourism office website is informative too.

Nice trip write up @Capitaine, I should have looked searched this one before walking

We had a nice trip to Joigny LFGK today, same setup as Capitaine with the hassle of a baby (plus the YoYoBabyZen suggested by Jgmusic, RIP fella !)

The place has not changed much except umbrellas and masks…

Umbrellas are highly appreciated !

We visited the local artists gallery, some are famous locally

We did eat in this place

Then visited Church & Cemetry followed by a long walk uphill, the plane was to get a taxi on the way back but carrying a carseat around would have been a nightmare, the walk under the heat was nice in the middle of vines and well deserved

Checking if everything is fine with the pax
