The force is transferred to the firewall through the engine mounts … because that’s the only connection of the NLG with the firewall in most designs.

Our club uses the Aquila for training since 2011. About 1100 hours had been accumulated in the A210 before it was sold last year and a new A211 was bought.
Both aircraft experienced some pretty bad landings, including by me on my first solo. But they withstood everything so far. Downtime is generally negligible. The aircraft is almost only grounded for the regular 50h/100h intervals.
