The plan of the trip was to fly around few airfields in Normandie (Dreux, l’Aigle, Bernay, StAndreDeLEure) and spend a day in Bernay
Looked like a busy day departing from LaFerteAlais, museum just opened for the public !
Extending downwind leg (literally ) to Dreux, maybe one of the rare places with signal squares?
Then l’Aigle and quick hop to Bernay, I found another Loch Heaven Yellow Cub !
I got a bike from the mechanic (Michel), very helpful chap, got him a bottle on the way back from Bernay
Then visiting StAndreDeLEure on the way back (like Avranches it requires DGAC authorisation that one can get easily by email)
Landing at LaFerte@Alais, vintage cars gathering and I got escorted by NYPD & NYC fire department, WTF??!!
Seems like a tradition: 3 months ago it was motor-bike riders gathering, a year ago it was nazi movie filming
Nice photos
Looks wonderful
My home turf
Michel is awesome. You will only take his wrench from his cold hand
This gathering is typical ‘La Ferté’ style
Thanks for the pics !
Seems like the baby didn’t slow your flying !!!
Yes LaFerte is a “motoring shrine” on sunny weekends !

I can’t get faster than 80mph in the J3 Cubs
Flights like that are what makes flying in France, fun.
Perfect, Ibra I do like the headset hung up in flight. Do you know why Saint-André-de-l’Eure needs special permission?
No idea why Saint Andre de l’Eure needs permission, maybe has to do with being ex-military asset from 70’s? or non-TXP SEP or microlights near Evreux CTR?
The form is this one, it covers few airfields in Normandie, Loire & Brittany

PS: headsets OFF/ON on exit/enter of the circuit ;)
Very nice relaxed trip. It looks like we have missed some place up to now in the area.
