I hope the pilot gets well soon.
At the time, I was in the shop that maintained the aircraft. They were quite shocked but very relieved when they learned that the pilot survived and it was not due to a technical malfunction.
Good to read that the pilot survived.
Awkward that the hedge behind the aircaft is undamaged.
Once got a false G/S on the ILS into Augsburg - basically vectored onto the LOC miles away - no warning flag, but fortunately in VMC. Approach and DME/slope check would/should have caught it, but good advertisement for fitting GPWS.
EDMA is the airport where I did my complete IFR training ... I never had an unreliable GS or ILS. Interesting ...
