Here is the blog account about my flight from Lille (LFQQ) to Biscrosse (LFBS) and Rodez (LFCR) while taking an electric bike along. This was last summer (2016).
Nice, I am also thinking about a small bike to Bring along in the plane and in my camper. Would you choose yourself for an electrical one? Is it not very heavy?
In biscarosse there was nobody? What about landing fees etc? You get there bill sent to your home?
Vieke:
Nobody there, nothing to pay, no bill received: Vive la France!
Only the battery is a bit heavy but as i was alone i didnt have a weight problem. I did take the battery out and kept it on the passenger seat to verify it did behave properly during the flight at FL190 unpressurized.
I have friends on the Airpark at Biscarosse who di pilot bed and breakfast. Separate guest accommodation and room for 3 aircraft on the apron outside their front door :)
PM me for information
Jude
Thanks for the info Jude.
I made it to Biscarrosse two weeks ago and it was lovely. Stayed with Vicky & Keith Field who live just across the street from your friends.
For other EuroGA users, there is a TOTAL fuel station right next to the airpark entrance near the threshold of paved R27. It is owned and operated by the airpark residents, but takes the TOTAL card and can be used by non-residents with the usual caveats about no guarantee of availability, etc, due to the private nature.
Great airport, no fees, lovely accommodation and people and lots to see in the area. Much quieter than Arcachon and as mentioned in another thread, with an IFR approach. Musée de l’Hydraviation is very much worth a visit. https://www.hydravions-biscarrosse.com/

A beautiful Hawk by the way.
Thanks boscomantico. 1978, but with a new (3 month old) paint job.

Great Info! It comes just right, planning a flight to Arcachon and San Sebastian on Sunday. Please give contact info for accommodation at Biscarosse.
If you visit the Great Dune, have at least a lunch at “La Coorniche”: http://www.lacoorniche-pyla.com
