Its USP is that it’s Textron, it’s faster, bigger cabin and has a GE Catalyst. I know the last thing might sound like a detriment, but Pratt has gotten a little too comfortable in their monopoly and stopped innovating. The “big block” PT6’s are crazy expensive to overhaul, still has no Fadec and have TBO that’s not expanded over time (i.e, greed) compared to many other. GE Catalyst has 4000hr TBO straight out of the gate, no fuel nozzles that need overhauling and Fadec.
@AdamFrisch this reminds me about the Land Rover and the Land Cruiser in the Australian/South African outback, the free turbine PT6 design has some outback advantages
