This morning, an (N-reg.) Twinco was “lost” (and still hasn’t been found) in the in the general area of La Spezia.
According to newspapers, the plane was headed from Genova to Eberswalde in Germany. Apparently a German on board (but conflicting information in various newspapers; other news reports also talk about an Italian on board).
Almost needless to say, the weather was quite poor in that area today.
People (rather inappropriately) joking about aircraft getting lost being “en vogue” at the moment…

Aircraft now found on mountainside
The aircraft was located from a helicopter on the side of Monte Casarola at around 1600 meters above sea level, the pilot was fatally injured in the crash.
