I saw crash today it’s really sad, no idea what weather conditions and if pilot saw last METAR as things could have gone quickly from CAVOK to bad weather quickly in Auxerre?

I flew same night around the area, Auxerre does not have METAR but Troyes & Melun were tricky, if it’s bad on corners, the s***t is in the middle…

Troyes at 1730Z was “700m visi & freezing fog” (not OK for single pilot IFR except on ILS with ATC, FALS, AP, HUD, EVS), Melun at 1800Z was “CAVOK but temp=dew” and some risk of fog, on arrival to Melun it was 3000m & 400ft (which was OK to land & on LPV minima but the runway was not visible at circling height, it was breifly visible overhead on the climb after the missed on 1st approach, not the best night for freestyle circling)

Weather in Paris and west near Toussus, Pontoise, Rouen was ok for NVFR
