Brindisi (LIBR) has Avgas (not anymore)

For those planning trips to the south. I bought it there today (May 7, 2017). It was a long wait while multiple jets refueled. Price 2.54 EUR. This was a pleasant surprise as I was told on a phone call to the airport that there was no avgas. I was planning to use them as a port of entry and then fly on to Salerno for avgas.

That is a really good development.

There was a previous – inconclusive – thread here

Brindisi is a very useful “last stop” for those flying on to a port of entry airport in Greece and wishing to avoid Corfu for whatever reason

Any more recent report on Brindisi? I am looking at using it as a stopover on the way back from Greece. Of course avgas is essential. I will probably email the airport to ask they actually have avgas…

Spoke too soon… here’s a notam:

FUEL AVGAS 100LL NOT AVAILABLE
REF AIP AD 2 LIBR 1-2 : NOTAM LI/A5809/17

NO AVGAS

Is there any other airport in the lower part of Italy which actually has avgas? I don’t mean the “aeroclub arrangement”

The service is merely interrupted for one month due to WIP on the airport.
