Unleaded fuel in Italy and Slovenia

Hi Guys, will be flying (on rotax eng) from south Italy to Slovenia. Could anyone know a page/map/info where mogas could be available? Many thanks in advance.

I think your best chance will be the Avioportolano but it will require some digging. And at a quick glance its information on fuel availability is not very complete.

BTW welcome to this forum, we can do with more Rotax flyers!

Nothing better on offer? Boscomantico? And our Italian gang? ;)

One has to distinguish between a) airfields where some bloke might be willing to lend a car and a couple of jerrycans to go to the next roadside petrol station, b) airfields where they usually keep a small stock of full jerry cans for people visiting, and c) airfields where they have a proper tank and pump for Mogas.

Considering only the third category, here’s a list of airfields (Aviosuperfici):

Sondrio (LILO, nördliche Lombardei) (hier wochentags allerdings Landegebühr!)
Boglietto – Costigliole d’Asti (südlich von Asti / Piemont)
Castelnuovo Don Bosco (LILF, bei Asti / Piemont)
Spessa – La Speziana (südlich von Mailand)
Mazzè – Prati Nuovi (Nähe Turin)
Montagnana (westlich von Padova) – vorher freundlich anfragen!
Ozzano Emilia (LIKO, bei Bologna) – SELF SERVICE!
Molinella (bei Bologna)
Al Casale (Nähe Udine)
San Mauro (Nähe Udine)
Sassuolo (bei Modena)
Serristori (LIQQ, zentrale Toskana)
Vejano – Alituscia (nordwestlich von Rom) – SELF SERVICE!
Sabaudia (zwischen Rom und Neapel)
Volturno Fly (bei Neapel)
Terni (LIAA, südliches Umbrien) – SELF SERVICE!
Scalea (LICK, nördliches Kalabrien) (Landegebühr!)
Salemi (westliches Sizilien)
Caorle (LIKE, obere Adria) – 10 Euro “Mitgliedsgebühr” zu bezahlen
Pordenone – La Comina (westlich Udine)
Valdera (LIAT, Nähe Pisa)
Mezzana Bigli (südlich von Mailand)
San Marino-Torraccia (Nähe Rimini)
Civitella del Tronto (nördlich von Pescara)
Pignola (Nähe Potenza)
Fermo-Fermano (südlich von Ancona)
Monteporzio (nordwestlich von Ancona)
Celsetta (nördlich von Rom)
SibariFly – (Ionische Küste Kalabriens)
Nettuno-Arma (zwischen Rom und Neapel)
San Stino di Livenza (nordöstlich von Venedig)
Massalengo (südlich Mailand) – Benzin wird eher ungern an Dritte verkauft
Vicchio di Mugello / Aviostorai (nordöstlch von Florenz)
Cotronei (in den Bergen Kalabriens)
Aviosuperficie Pianfei / Alpi Marittime (südwestliches Piemont)

I would say this list is 90% accurate, probably 95%. But in most cases (other than where “self service” is noted), you still depend on someone with the right key and some change to be present. So you need to call in advance anyway. But it’s a good starting point.

Concerning the “aeroporti” (licensed airfields), very few of these have Mogas. I can only think of:

Trento LIDT, Thiene LIDH, Carpi LIPU, Pavullo LIDP

Re Slovenia: check the Jeppesen. Most of the smaller airfields do have Mogas on tap.

Ah, that’s as good as anybody could wish for. I knew we could count on you, well done!
