RMT.0677 easier access of GA pilots to IFR flying

We had a session yesterday at our aeroclub and were quite surprised when we saw this.
There is, after E IR and CB IR, a other aim to get more pilots flying IFR. They gave us a survey where we should point out what we think is useless in terms of theory but still on the list (was handed out)

i.e. Aircraft knowledge, is it necessary to know some details about 737 if you never intend to fly this aircraft. Makes it sense to have this in the theory at all?

As always in aviation, there will be as many answers as pilots…… that’s what makes farmers very strong in Switzerland, only a few % of CH people occupied by this industry but gets billions of subsidies (not called like this anymore!) as they have a strong lobby.

I agree about the 737 symbol generator stuff.

But which weather phenomena still in the syllabus only apply above F250? Jetstream AFAIK is not in there anymore.
