RyanAir broken down

Here I am sitting sweltering in a mask on a Ryan Air Boeing 737-8200 on the ground at Nantes. 30 minutes late due to small technical fault and waiting for an engineer.
Just been told that the engineer is just about to take off from Stansted. Yeh and pigs might fly
Do they have spare planes hanging around to.fly engineers around?
Wish I’d taken the train or rented a DA42.😬

France

They have a Lear at STN that gets dispatched in situations like that. Friend of mine used to fly it, but left as apparently RYR planes hardly ever break down and he got bored waiting around.

The airline I used to work for crewed every flight (B707 & DC-8-63) with a flight engineer, who was qualified to sign out any out station minor repairs. It saved our butt a lot of times, I know, ‘cause I was the guy who’d have to find another airplane if he couldn’t get the broken one fixed!
