Italian pilots seem to have this habit of flying too low in the mountains, then crashing the aircraft but remaining unscathed…
The PS28 is a nice aircraft in flat areas, but doesn’t have a very good climb rate (at altitude), therefore it is not the best plane to have in the mountains.
Especially with 2 persons on board + fuel as it will be near MTOW.
Luckily it has a very low stall speed and light weight, most likely this helped to get to a survivable outcome.
Such a luck it didn’t turn into a fire, especially that it is hot and dry here at the moment… And there are mountains around Albenga, but not so high, I doubt they were over 6000ft “poco dopo il decollo”
