But surely you want something for investing? Or is it charity?
It’s just high risk, that’s all (if looking at this from a pure investment point of view). How you look at it, it’s up to you of course.
If it isn’t for investors that are willing to take a risk, all progress stops Plus I think it is fun to invest in companies that do things that you have a passion for. You may even be able to help them in other ways than money.
Apart from VC’s who do speculative investments many investors have a mixed portfolio of ‘safe’ things and risky things. Myself included. No, the DA42 wasn’t meant to be an investment

Looking at the wing position, has it been tested on water? I wonder about waves in a 3 knot wind.
It’s a Pöschel Design that in principle has been tested.
Hence the name.
Although, I don’t think it will be a kit nor uncertified. Too much self-restriction on the possible customers.
The wing looks low to any ripples for take-off even from a pond.
I assume the people are company employees, and there weren’t equal opportunities for women.

No I got two planes on my own I that I’m “investing” time and money in. As I said, it’s not my cup of tea this plane (for several reasons).
