Certainly companies have an inherent value (if not, they would be bankrupt). But the stock value is virtually always much higher.
Who benefits from bitcoin calculations? They must have some use to some third party, surely. Otherwise it’s a con, like investing in new "collectibles’. (Old collectables are more likely to keep value.)
