Pilots needed to test met office website

Not sure if anyone would be interested but ……

Web Usability (www.webusability.co.uk)) is a research organisation based in Chippenham specialising in making clients’ web sites more effective. They undertake website testing for Government and private sector organisation websites and recruit people to help test these sites.

They are looking for pilots, fixed winged, helicopter and balloon pilots to go to their Chippenham office next week – Monday 30th June and Tuesday 1st July.

They are looking at a site about weather forecasting for aviation/flight planning and need pilots to help them test the site. The research is quite simple; it will involve going along to their offices on either Monday or Tuesday next week and spending an hour looking at the site and telling them what you think about it. There’s no preparation in advance and no further commitment. You will be given a specific timeslot to attend on your preferred day.

· They will pay £40 plus travel expenses (max £10). · You will be helping to improve a website that could be important to you and · It’s quite fun.

If you would like the opportunity to take part, please contact Avril as soon as possible.

I would be interested but doing it during the working week, and a fee that would not cover my travel, would exclude me. It sounds interesting, and they do a session which can be tested from home, and feedback given online, I’d happily give it a go.

I’m retired, so working week is no problem – but the travel expenses?? They’ll only get very local pilots. I’m about 50 road miles from Aberdeen and Inverness Airports.
