Where did you fly to/from ?

LGMG Megara, Greece

Just a local, Shoreham to Lydd for an ILS. On a rare flyable day, TCAS was like a xmas tree, with several close misses (one hopes they would have been misses).

I was down at Bournemouth yesterday to see Airtime, and regretfully i didnt take the opportuinity to do some IMC or some approaches at bournemouth while I was there. In retrospect if I had booked an approach slot, I might not have been made to orbit for 8 minutes outside of the CTA.

Came across this today (AOPA)and found it funny:

*97-year-old pilot recalls incredible accidental aviation career *

William Edward Brooks grew up in a farming family in Oregon and says he never intended to become a pilot. He joined the military during World War II intending to sign up as a mechanic, but he went in the wrong door and instead took the test for pilot training -- and passed. After the war, he started Mercy Flights, a nonprofit air ambulance company, in Oregon. He later moved to Alaska when the pipeline was being built and founded the Alaska Air Cargo Association. Now 97, he still flies his DeHavilland Beaver up in Alaska. AlaskaDispatch.com (10/30)
