At a quiet strip, I’ve tried turning off the fuel on our Jodel DR1050, then doing my powerchecks. I had still some running time after that – enough to have got me to a dangerous speed on a short strip, if not actually airbourne. It’ll vary from type to type. The danger would be where you finish checks and immediately start T/O run.
