The 208 is a bit aerobatic, too. Well, at least she can do, what the Aerobat can do.

There is one for charter in Ingolstadt. You should try it, it’s a fun machine. http://inflight-charter.de/bolkow-junior/

(Did you mix up the 207 with the 208 (Junior) and the 208 with the 209 (Monsun)? Because the 207 and 209 have two sticks. The 208 has one Y-shaped center stick. The 208 is partly aerobatic, the 209 is aerobatic, the 207 is not. It’s a huge 4 seat taildragger with (allegedly) very nice handling qualities. “Die Ka6 der Motorflieger”)

Yes, thanks for the correction.., it must’ve been too late in the evening when I posted! I meant the 208 Junior with its small cabin and the 209 Monsun with two sticks etc!

At my base we have one of each, and an idle dream would be to import a 207, with its interesting Klemm history, to join them

PS the Ingolstadt link is very interesting… not this trip but I might just check that out next time!

I flew the BlackShape Prime last weekend in EDWF Leer Papenburg and it was just amazing. It flew like “a little” jetfighter with awesome performance. If i could affort it, i would buy one immediately!

It does look impressive – is the target market GA or military training? They talk about mil-spec which usually means extra €€€

Didn’t we see this at Friedrichshafen for the last few years? It is another Rotax design.

A review of early posts in this 2 years old thread is worth doing…

The “military trainer” version is supposed to get a Lycoming engine. I think all lightplane manufactures try to market their product as “basic military trainer” at one time or another. Very few succeed to actually get an order from the military. I remember that some decades ago, german manufacturer Grob actually sold some motorgliders to the Royal Air Force… but that must have been the last time any such attempt was successful.

Isn’t +4g/-2g a little low for a military trainer? It isn’t even enough for aerobatics (+6/-3 minimum as of CS-23.337).

Military sidesteps Part 23 certification requirements – on the face of it, anyway.

Yes, the RAF has a load of Grob trainers. After the 2xGrob mid-air a few years ago, Lees Avionics (GAMA) got a massive order for a TAS box in each, plus a SN3500 EHSI on which to display the traffic.

The military version BK200 ( http://www.blackshapeaircraft.info/training-system/ ) is actually stressed to +6/-3g. But still I think this is only good for training drone operators.
