Hello all, I currently work on GA aircraft in the US and am seeking employment in the EU. Based on what I’ve seen in the forum, demand is high and supply is low. I do work for a company on turbo props up to Gulfstreams but I also provide freelance services to single engine, piston owners. I have my airframe license but I don’t believe that that will do me any good in the EU but it can’t hurt.
I’m creating this post in hopes that I can get some advice on the subject. Thank you!
Are you an A&P, or an A&P/IA?
The latter is much more valuable, to N-reg private owners, and others.
There are conversion options from A&P to EASA66, involving sitting a load of written exams (which are full of BS ) but your A&P work experience can be used towards.

A&P or Airframe only?
(Understood that you do avionics but A&P would broaden your marketability to e.g. sign off an entire package of work on a N-registered aircraft)
Or are you looking to work at an EU repair station and not utilize your FAA mechanic credentials?
Is your plan to get EASA licenses or work in the FAA regime in Europe?
Get your I/A and don’t worry about getting work
