SR22 following Swiss border

Ha, that’s funny! Great idea.

Someone follows the rules to the edge

Awesome

I wonder if that was a programmed route flown on autopilot? It should be doable. How would one do it?

Obviously you would need a GPS which can take an externally prepared flight plan electronically.

What sort of flight plan would need to be filed, if any?

It’s been done before e.g. here is an example of an RV-6 doing it on 18th March.

Question to people from other countries: What kind of plane and how long would you need to do the same in your country? Would it even be possible?

If you truly want to fly the border, it will take an eternity.

First, length of the borders is highly subjective depending on inside/outside, measured from the enemy side it is usually 3 times bigger than from the inside

Second, this is easy to do in Switzerland as border is human made and can be mapped on GPS as a 1D dimension line, on the UK coastline that flight plan will need unlimited fuel endurance and RNP GPS with 3.25 dimensions capabilities

I would be careful attempting Norway even with unlimited fuel
