Sling HW

Sling just made a high wing version, the Sling HW.

Powered by a Rotax 915. 4 seats, 145 knot cruise. It’s also a tail wheel variant, more to my liking. Tail wheel, two seats and lots of luggage.

Very interesting! Does it have any EASA certification?

Imho, kind of ugly … Why do they design aircraft looking like flying sperm? Ok, when flying the optics is problem of others, but this goes microlight design.

Interesting from performance, indeed, but experimental equals no Night VFR, so – not for me.

Strange sperm you have there, @MichaLSA. You might want to see a doctor.

In the UK Permit to Fly aircraft can get Night and IFR/IMC permission – on an individual aircraft, not Type basis.

well, the “flying sperm” is gonna spend a few days in my hangar

One thing’s for sure, these guys have done some serious flying over the years… the black one being the route they are flying now

The max demonstrated xwind is surprisingly low given the size of the rudder area. Looks like a fantastic aircraft, but you’’d definitely want to try one in a stiff breeze to determine if that was the worst they could find for testing or if it really is limiting.
