These fillers have the potential to make an exhaust system last a lot longer, by blocking hot escaping gas which erodes the metal. This is how the crappy Socata exhaust pipework ends its life
and these pipes cost ~ €2000 each.

It’s funny. For the gigabytes of bandwidth on the US Socata owners group regarding leaking exhaust clamps, and Socata’s relentless price hiking of 20-30% a year (these clamps and ‘special’ bolts now cost several hundred €) even to the extent of me disagreeing with the forum owner and eventually getting booted out of there because that is not allowed, putting this paste inside the clamp will make it last 10x longer.
