King VOR indicator indicating 180 degrees out

Yesterday one of my indicators was reading exactly 180 degrees “wrong”, the other was fine. Can anyone offer any possible reason please? I checked several times and it was not restricted to one station.

How does your VOR installation look like? Which receiver, which indicator etc?

Can your VOR receiver display the radial? e.g. my KX125 has a digital display of the radial you are located on.
If you have this, can you check whether the digital display is correct or also 180 degrees wrong?

This could help us determine whether the fault lies in the receiver or in the indicator.

@wigglyamp might know.

I reckon you have lost one of the three X/Y/Z (X/Y/400Hz) wires. This is a classic synchro system, developed around WW1 for aiming naval guns.

What King indicator is it? The KI202/206 use synchro whereas the KI203/204/208/209 have a converter built-in so receive a composite Nav signal.
